The National Mississippi River Museum & Aquarium is getting geared up for Mad Scientist Fun Day on Sunday, Oct. 30. Families are invited to come to the River Museum from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and take part in many “mad scientist” themed activities. The campus is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Live animal programming and science experiments will engage children 12-years-old and younger and their families. A scavenger hunt will be given to each guest and will guide them to different locations on campus.
Smithsonian film, Inside the Factory: Sweets, will be airing in the Journey Theatre in the Mississippi River Discovery Center all throughout the day. This film reveals factory secrets and demonstrates how these sweet treats are produced.
Children and families are encouraged to wear costumes and trick-or-treat around the River Museum.
A discounted rate of $14.95 is available for this day, but tickets must be purchased in advance online to receive the lower rate. The link to purchase tickets can be found under the “Events” tab at RiverMuseum.com. Member’s admission is free.
