The Mathias Ham Historic Site is celebrating Independence Day this year with the Audrey Hammer 4th of July Ice Cream Social, and guests are invited to attend the celebration from 11 AM – 4 PM!

Enjoy live music by The Americana Band, purchase picnic food, refreshments, cake, and ice cream! Victorian games and crafts will take place throughout the day.

Due to restoration at the Mathias Ham House, traditional tours will not be available, but guests will be able to learn about the restoration of historic homes and the exciting developments that come with it! Come experience family fun with live demonstrations such as spinning, soap-making, canon-fire and much more!


Free-will donations will be accepted with proceeds benefitting the Mathias Ham Historic Site, a property of the Dubuque County Historical Society. NEW THIS YEAR--your chance to pie a Pie-oneer! Donations of any amount will count as your vote to determine who takes a whipped cream pie to the face at the event! Donations will be accepted prior to the event and onsite. Pies launch at 1:30 PM.
