Dubuque County Historical Society Presents 2026 Board of Directors Officers, Emeritus Honor, New Member

Dubuque, Iowa – The Dubuque County Historical Society and its properties, the National Mississippi River Museum & Aquarium and Mathias Ham Historic Site, has announced its 2026 Board of Directors leadership, including newly elected and returning officers, a new board member, and the recognition of a longtime leader with Emeritus status.

Three officers renewed their leadership roles for 2026 after being elected in 2025. Chip Murray, Trust and Investment Services Industry (retired), will continue to serve as Board Chair. Sarah Hasken, Business Leader at Jackson Mfg., Inc., remains Vice Chair. Tom Woodward, President and CEO of Woodward Communications, Inc., continues in the role of Past Chair.

Two officers have been newly elected for 2026. Stephanie Meyers, President of Giese Roofing Company, will serve as Secretary. Dean Wilgenbusch, Market President and Business Banking Team Manager at U.S. Bank, will serve as Treasurer.

The Board also welcomes Cary Reisch, Human Resources Manager at HODGE Companies, as a newly elected member.

In addition, Tim Butler, Vice President at Cottingham & Butler Insurance (retired), has been awarded Emeritus status following 30 years of dedicated service. During his tenure, Butler contributed to multiple committees, including Building & Facilities, Education, and Finance, and served as Board Chair. The honorary position of Emeritus Board Member is a non-voting role that allows continued engagement with the Board in recognition of significant contributions and longstanding commitment to the organization’s mission.

Together, the 2026 Board of Directors brings continued leadership, expertise, and community commitment to support the Dubuque County Historical Society’s mission and future growth.
